Occupational Health & SafetyFIRST AID CENTRES Qualified First Aid Attendants operate the College First Aid Centres
and are certified to assess and treat minor injuries and illness. The Emergency Medical Services at 911 are requested for all serious or life threatening circumstances. First Aid Centre Operations St. James Campus Casa Loma Campus Campus Security and the Evening Campus Supervisor will respond to first aid requests made after 3:30 p.m. and may be contacted at: St. James Campus (416) 415- 2047 Casa Loma Campus (416) 415 - 4532 Please Note: All student, staff or visitor accidents and injuries must be reported to the First Aid Centre or Campus Security. ACCIDENT REPORTING All student, staff, or visitor accidents and injuries must be reported to your nearest campus First Aid Centre or Security office. Please download and complete the SUPERVISOR’S ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION REPORT FORM (Excel file). The report MUST be returned to the First Aid Centre within 24 HOURS. WHMIS TRAINING WORKPLACE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS INFORMATION SYSTEM (WHMIS) (NEW) R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 860, as amended O. Reg. 36/93 WHMIS training is an annual requirement for employees that work with chemicals. Employees who do not work with chemicals must complete WHMIS training every three (3) years. WHMIS training is provided throughout the year at both the Casa Loma and St. James campuses. The interactive computer based safety training program is available to employees through the Health & Safety Department. Go to the Staff Development website to check course availability and enroll.
