SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise)
SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) is an international non-profit organization that works with university and college students to apply business concepts to develop outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.
SIFE GBC encourages entrepreneurial development by allowing students to apply in-class education in real life programs and projects that contribute to the success of the community we reside in.
SIFE GBC has been the recipient of the 2010 and 2011 SIFE Financial Education Regional Championship for our Solid Ground Program and 1st Runner Up in the 2011 Scotiabank and SIFE Go Green Challenge. One of our members was named the 2011 SIFE Project Manager of the Year. After the May 2011 SIFE National Championships, SIFE GBC is now ranked as one the Top 10 teams in Canada out of 62 Colleges and Universities.

SOLID GROUND
The Solid Ground program emphasizes the importance of budgetary goal setting, teaching financial decision-making skills and instilling students with a sense of pride. Our ongoing goal is to help participants develop skills to understand and maintain long-term financial stability.
Business In the Streets (BITS)
SIFE George Brown and The Institute of Entrepreneurship and Community Innovation at George Brown College are running a program for newcomer and high-risk youth called Business in the Streets. Business in the Streets focuses on helping newcomer and high-risk youth learn entrepreneurial business principles outside, on the street, with the support of local business owners from their neighbourhood.
