Co-Operative Education

What is Co-operative Education?

Co-operative Education is an important component of many of the programs at George Brown College. Students spend at least one four-month work term working full-time in a job related to their field of study.

Co-op is intended to give students a chance to apply the knowledge they have gained in the program in a real-life, hands-on situation, giving them practical experience and further developing their skills.

Students also get a chance to gain important work experience and to establish contacts with potential employers. Many graduates of co-op programs find full-time employment with their co-op employer.
