There are over 100 dance companies in the GTA, performing on over 70 stages throughout the city. Offering professional instruction in a dynamic and highly creative environment, George Brown Dance provides an optimum platform for students seeking a career in Toronto's vibrant and world-renowned dance community or in the ever-expanding international market.

Ballet Jörgen Canada is one of the country's most innovative and prolific dance companies, recognized internationally for its entrepreneurial innovation, commitment to choreographic originality and artistic excellence. Since 1992, George Brown College and Ballet Jörgen Canada have enjoyed an unprecedented partnership in the form of George Brown Dance, a dance school offering professional training for students of ballet and modern dance.

George Brown Dance provides training that prepares students for a professional career in dance. Our graduates find employment in the arts sector as well as the entertainment industry. Some of our recognized alumni include Neve Campbell, Kathleen Rea and Clea Iveson.

Your Career
Successful completion of GBC Dance Performance programs will provide students with the fundamentals needed to pursue opportunities in the dance industry or to continue their studies in advanced graduate programs. Completion of the Commercial Dance program, the first of its kind in Canada, will enable graduates to immediately pursue employment opportunities in film, television, music videos and touring, musical theatre, cruise ship, resort and industrial productions.
