Ballet Jorgen Canada dancers will be hosting “Dance for Japan”, a performance to raise funds for the earthquake relief in Japan.

The performance will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 7:00 pm at George Brown College, 160 Kendal – Ballet Jorgen Studios (Casa Loma).

Admission is by donation and all proceeds will go to the Canadian Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.

"Danceries" with the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra, Friday, April 25, 2008, 8:00pm

George Brown Dance will participate in the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra's "Danceries".

This evening of Dance and Live Music is presented by the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra and will feature dancers from George Brown Dance, York University, Humber College and the Swansea School of Dance.

Friday April 25, 2008 at 8:00 pm at The Toronto Centre for the Arts, 5040 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON.

Tickets $20.00/Students, $35.00/Adults

Commercial Dance Studies Program is First of Its Kind

George Brown Dance is offering a new three-semester certificate program in Commercial Dance Studies. It is the first college level, certified program in Canada offering training for dancers in the commercial field.

The program is designed for students with training in contemporary dance forms, specifically jazz, hip hop and musical theatre. Commercial Dance Studies will prepare dancers for a careers in film, television, music videos and touring, musical theatre, cruise ship and resort entertainment, and industrial productions.
