THE PATH TO SUCCESS STARTS HERE

Hamad Siddiqui, Graduate Bachelor of Applied Business - Hospitality Operations Management

“I bridged into the 3rd year of the BABH program after completing the Hotel Management Diploma program at George Brown.  I was very fortunate to obtain a position in an upscale boutique hotel in downtown Toronto to apply my theoretical knowledge that I obtained at the college. The encouragement, support, and wealth of knowledge available through the pool of instructors at GBC allowed me to demonstrate confidence in my place of work.

The best part is the first-hand experience the faculty taps into when conducting their lectures allowing you to correlate those examples at work.  I think the program helps you establish a solid foundation of a dynamic industry thereby setting you up for the next stage of your career in the hospitality industry.”

Trevor Burnham, Graduate Bachelor of Applied Business - Hospitality Operations Management

“During my 4 year experience I was thoroughly impressed by the dedication of the staff, extracurricular activities available to students and the amount of interaction that students have with the industry itself. The in-class instruction throughout the course provides real world, practical examples and assignments that illustrate how the decisions made by an individual can impact a hospitality operation as a whole.

I believe that the multiple Coop opportunities, regular guest speakers and activity days help to develop student’s abilities to think critically and get outside the box while building future contacts. Overall, I felt that the BABH not only provides the basis for a great career, but it’s also a resource for those who want to make an additional investment in to their education and professional lives.”

Lars Friedriszik, Graduate Bachelor of Applied Business - Hospitality Operations Management

“Attending George Brown College made a tremendous difference in my life. In addition to the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the hospitality industry, my education provided me with invaluable exposure to many current and future industry leaders.

I obtained employment as an Food & Beverage Operations Manager as a direct result of the networking opportunities that George Brown College provides for its students.”

Deanne Fletcher,  Graduate Bachelor of Applied Business - Hospitality Operations Management (2011)

“The program itself was comprised of both theoretical coursework as well as hands-on labs. The paid double co-op provided me the opportunity to not only gain invaluable experience, but to network with current industry professionals. Since I worked throughout my college career, I had the pleasure of learning about various concepts and then watching them play out in the industry. This enhanced my learning experience and reassured my choice to join the degree program.

GBC's Hospitality Operations Management prepared me well for my career, by providing me with an in-depth and well rounded curriculum, work experience before graduation, and plenty of networking and job opportunities. I loved the incorporation of hands-on learning since it is this aspect that most students struggle with once they graduate.

My experience at GBC was exceptional and I wouldn't have it any other way. I highly recommend this program for those looking to work within the Hospitality industry.”
