Programs

Explore new creative horizons

The programs in the School of Design have been designed to flow into each other organically while functioning as independent, self-contained modules.

Our unique educational approach combines academic programs with authentic-task projects to create a community of learning that includes knowledgeable faculty, international lecturers, alumni, industry partners, and designers-in-residence. We build your skills, focus your talent, and expose you to the world of professional design practice.

Design Programs Stream Art and Design Foundation Program Graphic Design Program Advanced Digital Design Program Game Design Program Interdisciplinary Design Strategy Program Design Management Program Students can enter the School of Design through the Art and Design Foundation program - G108 for a solid introduction to the field. This program opens up many diverse possibilities for students in addition to serving as excellent preparation for our Graphic Design program - G102 or Game Development - G109 program.

Our Graphic Design program provides students with the intensive, rigorous training necessary to work in the industry. As well, it provides an outstanding knowledge and skill base for our innovative post-diploma programs.

Our four post-diploma programs - the Interdisciplinary Design Strategy (Post-Graduate) - G414, Design Management - G401, Digital Design - Game Design (Post-Graduate) - G405 and Digital Design - Advanced Digital Design (Post-Graduate) - G402 - are unique, cutting-edge experiences. Top students who wish to continue their digital education can proceed directly to our Game Design and Advanced Digital Design programs. The other programs – the IwB and Design Management – are geared to people with more work experience. The IwB prepares people for work in design and strategic consulting, and Design Management prepares people to work as design managers or design entrepreneurs.
