Ballroom Blitz
Fashion students from the Fashion Techniques and Design program were given “tired” prom dresses that they revamped and revived and
made wearable today! After the competition the dresses are given to high school students who cannot afford to buy a promo dress. This
is a great cause – good for the environment, a way to give back to the community, and a way for students to participate in a competition!
Congratulations go to Emily Keburis who won first place in the Ballroom Blitz Competition, and Leana Mukhina who won second place. Samiya
Hashi received honorable mention as one of the top ten finalists.
Also, a big round of applause to Cydney Moore, Leonila Shaw, Valerie Anderson, Dusan Vlajic, and Marianne Alas who all entered the competition
and submitted fantastic entries.
