There is much to celebrate in the George Brown College Centre for Health Sciences, from award winning students to new cutting-edge facilities.

New Waterfront Campus

Imagine coming to school every day at one of Toronto’s most beautiful, modern spaces with labs and classrooms overlooking the harbour. Our third main campus, introducing an innovative health sciences college learning centre at a stunning new site on the Toronto waterfront will open in the Fall of 2012.  Click here to learn more about the new campus.

Advances in Simulation – Networking Event

The “Building Excellence through Collaboration” event, held Nov. 19-20 2010, brought together practitioners, educators and researchers to share recent advances in healthcare simulation. The event also opened discussions about how to advance simulation design, research and technological developments.

Health Sciences Awards 2010

On May 6, 2010 the achievements of 39 graduating students from the Schools of Dental Health, Health Services Management and Health and Wellness were celebrated at La Dolce Vita restaurant.  

Categories for awards included: “Support of Fellow Classmates”, “Academic Merit” and “Leadership”.  Eleven students received awards and scholarships.

Articulation Agreement with Laurentian University

In June of 2009, George Brown College represented by Anne Sado, President (left front row), and Brian Aiken, director of Gerontology at Laurentian University, finalized the articulation agreement between the college's Activation Co-ordinator/Gerontology diploma program and the university's Gerontology degree program.

Partnership with St. Michael’s Hospital

In January of 2010, George Brown’s Centre for Health Sciences launched an innovative partnership with St. Michael’s Hospital. Focused on collaborative practice, this new alliance brings together students in nursing, dental hygiene and fitness and wellness programs and second year medical students from St. Michael’s in the newly expanded Interprofessional Learning Clinic located at 175 Kendal Avenue on the Casa Loma campus.
