Versions of Windows Media Player that support Closed Captioning are:
* Windows Media Player 9 Series - This is the preferred version for Closed Captioning on the George Brown College web site and can be downloaded at Microsoft’s Download Center.
Windows Media Player 10 and higher
If you do not already have a version of Windows Media Player, or if you need to upgrade from an earlier version, please visit Microsoft’s Download Center and follow the instructions to install the player.
Instructions on how to view Closed Captioning in Windows Media Player 9 Series
PLEASE NOTE: If you have a higher version of Media Player and you'd like to revert back to the Version 9 Series, uninstall your existing version using Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs and choose Windows Media Player from the list of programs and click the Change/Remove button to uninstall. Then reinstall Media Player 9 Series from Microsoft’s Download Center.
