Streaming media is video and/or audio that is constantly received and played to you, the end-user, as it is being delivered by the GBC media server to your computer. All video and audio files on this page are either in Windows Media Video (.wmv) or Windows Media Audio (.wma) format and can be streamed via Windows Media Player.
Versions of Windows Media Player* that support the above file types are:
- Windows Media Player 7
- Windows Media Player for Windows XP
- * Windows Media Player 9 Series (needed for Closed Captioning). This is the preferred version for Closed Captioning on the George Brown College web site and can be downloaded at Microsoft’s Download Center.
- Windows Media Player 10 and higher (needed for Closed Captioning)
If you do not already have a version of Windows Media Player, or if you need to upgrade from an earlier version, please visit Microsoft’s Download Center and follow the instructions to install the player.
To adjust the size of the video in Windows Media Player, click View -> Video size -> then choose a size value (see sample screenshot in a separate browser window).
For more information, visit the Windows Media web site.
