George Brown students learn by doing – and that means offering the public high quality services and products. Supervised and directed by professors, our students are often just weeks away from becoming working professionals. So by enjoying the benefits of hands-on learning now, you’ll be helping our students prepare for rewarding careers.

Dental, hearing and fitness services

The following services are offered at our Interprofessional Learning Clinic, located at our Casa Loma Campus, 175 Kendal Ave.:

  • Dental services include dental history, assessment of teeth and gums, dental x-rays and teeth cleaning, fabrication of complete or partial dentures, repairs and relining, fillings, veneers, and bonding;

  • Hearing services include hearing tests, hearing aid evaluation and recommendation, consultation for assistive listening devices and hearing conservation;

  • Fitness Assessment and exercise prescription.

Child care at our nine college-operated centres

George Brown College is committed to operating child care centres both as a fundamental component of the School of Early Childhood, and as a provider of high-quality child care in the City of Toronto. There are nine George Brown child care centres located in Toronto.

Beauty services for your hands, face, body and hair

George Brown’s Yorkville School of Make up and Esthetics provides a wide variety of services including nails, waxing, make up, facials, hair and body treatments. Our students are trained using the current hygiene and sterilization guidelines. Our services are performed by our advanced level students under the guidance of our professional instructors.

Clothing and accessories at discount prices

In our on-campus student-run fashion stores – City Uptown and City Downtown – you’ll find the latest clothing and accessories at discount prices.

Open fall and winter Tuesday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in room C465, Casa Loma Campus, 260 Kendal Ave.

Theatre in the Distillery District

George Brown Theatre presents the stars of tomorrow in a season of productions from November to April. Our “Stage of Endless Possibilities" is in the Young Centre for Performing Arts in the Historic Distillery District, south of Front St. and east of Parliament St.

Gourmet meals at The Chefs' House restaurant

Experience excellence in food preparation and service and see world class chefs and our most advanced students in action at The Chefs' House restaurant, at 215 King. St. E. Baking and main course meals at our take-out food shop

During regular school sessions, the George Brown Chef School operates a savory and delectable bakeshop selling a variety of baked goods and delicious entrees prepared by students of the Chef School programs. The offerings vary on a daily basis. The retail bakeshop is located on the lower level, at the Centre for Hospitality and Tourism at 300 Adelaide St. E.
