How to work with challenging students

Do you ever find yourself in a power struggle with a student over marks, classroom behaviour, or assignments?  What are some of the most effective ways to work with students who are hostile or angry?  This experiential seminar will explore ways to prevent or diffuse heated situations in the classroom or your office.  Please bring examples of frustrating experiences you have had if you wish.
